Our work of molding young people into strong, competent leaders of our generation can be compared to the act of uprooting a weed within our communities. A weed that has been planted many years ago which depicts young people as dependents, non-classy materialistic members of the society.

To ensure identification, support and facilitate the delivery of services to youths.

To raise awareness of key health and societal issues in safe, honest and accessible forums.

To provide nutritional support for youth in their various community most in need.

To reduce the prevalence of teenage pregnancy, STIs, HIV/AIDS, TB and other communicable diseases amongst the youth.

Many youths sought answers to these questions and their search for these transformed us into the establishment of this Project.
Youth Empowerment Camp & Adventures was established with the goal of empowering and enabling young people to be actively involved in the development of themselves and their communities. Today we are involved with several activities and projects which all work towards achieving this.
The Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) germinated this glorious vision as we believed that youth had innate dynamism, energy, enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. However, these qualities were often misunderstood, not channeled properly, or underutilized. There is an oft-quoted saying “Youth are not useless, they are used less.”
Our vision is to nurture the untapped potential of youth and inspire them to bring about a renaissance in Nigeria and abroad. In accordance with this vision, Youth Empowerment Camp & Adventures is a youth leadership program based on values and service. The youth are our nation’s greatest source of “renewable energy.” The youth also have the power to bring about much needed change especially when equipped with the right vision, essential life skills, and a sense of compassion. The youth can become powerful agents of change.

Youth Empowerment Camp & Adventures committed to empowering today’s youth to be today’s leaders. We aim to provide encouragement for young people, providing guidance, knowledge and empowerment where needed, and to provoke the ability to bring out their inbuilt talents.
Our model is a three-pronged approach that effectively engages young people in work that challenges them to develop skills, gain critical awareness, and participate in opportunities that are necessary for creating community change.

Skill Development: The process of strengthening the skills of youth so that they know how to effectively make decisions, positively interact with their peers, and act as community advocates.

Critical Awareness: The process of providing youth with the information and resources necessary for analyzing issues that affect their lives and environments as well as strategize on ways to act as change agents in their communities.

Opportunities: The process of providing youth with platforms for decision-making and encouraging their active participation in creating community change.
